Founded in 2004, Gnet S.A. emerged as an evolution of Matrix
internet cafe which was operating in the internet cafes sector since
1999.
Its dynamic growth led to the formation of a company with multiple
activities. Gnet S.A. is capable of serving its partners needs
efficiently, providing proficient solutions to the challenges arising
in the Internet cafe sector, and satisfying the most extreme customer
requirements.
Today, Gnet offers the only reliable and competent solution for the formation of an Internet cafe.

02/2003: Gnet organizes the first 1vs1 national Unreal tournament cup
08/2003: Launch of www.gnet.gr, Gnet's official website.
08/2003: Gnet Xanthi, the first Gnet store outside Thessaloniki, starts operations.

02/2004: Gnet organizes the first National 5vs5
CounterStrike 1.6 CUP with the remarkable participation of 220 teams
(1100 players and 5000¤ worth of cash prizes). The outstanding
implementation and tremendous success granted the event a place in the
history of on-line gaming in Greece.
10/2004: Infosystem 2004. Gnet presents FUTURE PARK in the
2004 Infosystem exhibition. FUTURE PARK takes place in a space of 2200
square meters (m2).

02/2005: Launch of Gnet Irakleio in Crete. Gnet sets up the
largest internet cafe in Greece and one of the finest internet cafes in
Europe, equipped with 170 pc!
01/2006: Gnet-FORTHnet weekend challenges. The two companies
co-operate to organise online gaming events that last more than 32
weeks with total prizes whose value overran the 15,000¤!!! A
multifaceted and complex challenge that no other Internet café network
attempted before.
02/2006: Gnet terminates its cooperation with 4 franchise stores that did not fulfill the company¶s requirements and standards.
05/2006: EETT (the National Regulatory Authority, which
supervises and regulates the telecommunications as well as the postal
services market) grants, Gnet, a license for offering internet services.
07/2006: Launch of Gnet- Forthnet Steam Content servers in cooperation with valve.
09/2006: Gnet organises Playland at 71st International Trade Fair
09/2006: Gnet wins an
A.C.S.I.A. award, in the 1st International Conference "We want Safer
Children Online", for its efforts on promoting the SafeNetHome campaign.
11/2006: Gnet celebrates the FIRST birthday of «powered by Gnet»
